Information About COMUG
The Central Oregon Macintosh Users Group (COMUG) was founded
in 1986 with the objective of supporting Macintosh users in
the Bend and Central Oregon area. COMUG provides a variety of
services for the Macintosh user, including training, access
to the COMUG software library, system software updates, and
monthly user meetings.

Monthly User Meetings
One of the best sources of information about new product developments and innovations for the Macintosh is the monthly user meeting. These meetings provide the latest Macintosh news from a number of sources ranging from Apple's User Group Connection to the Internet news groups. Each meeting also has segments that are focused on demonstrations of products or services and new ways to use your Mac. Finally the meetings serve as a place to exchange information with other Mac users and a chance to ask questions of the local "experts".
The monthly meeting is generally held at 7:00pm on the third Wednesday of each month, check events calendar for location.
System Software Updates
As an authorized Macintosh User Group, COMUG is licensed by Apple to distribute selected system software and updates to Users Group members.
Monthly Newsletter
COMUG publishes an online monthly newsletter that is distributed to members. The newsletter contains information on new products, reviews, and general news from Apple and the Users Group.
User Training
One basic function of COMUG is education. We offer a new user session before each meeting. These sessions cover topics of interest to the beginner, from installing and using fonts to backing up your files. Intermediate and advanced classes can be arranged.
User Group Store
Membership in COMUG will allow you to purchase from the User Group Store. The UGS offers new and refurbished computers, peripherals and software to user group members at reduced prices.
